Google Pushed Out Terrain Fixes Today

Google just pushed out an update to their terrain data which fixes some anomalies like the one highlighted in the story just two days ago called "Cruise Ship Goes Off the Edge of the Earth". There were a number of anomalies like this, and I guess they just decided to go ahead and push out the fixes. I just did a quick perusal and most of the glitches have indeed been fixed up. There are a few elevated beaches on islands with varied terrain, but I didn't see any real anomalies in my checks. Hopefully they will add some higher resolution terrain soon as well.

Is it just me or is the terrain heightmap in this area MUCH higher resolution than everywhere else I've seen?
Could the glitch have been caused by the seam between higher resolution terrain and the original 90m data?

They seem to have overlooked this one:

Driving across the Tagus looks to be fraught with danger!

I am thankful for the recent world-wide coverage update by Google Earth, especially for their expanded coverage of Chile, South America. But the northern coastal city of Antofagasta (23.40.35.33 S -70.24.37.05 W) the ocean is over 400 ft. higher than the land. When tilted, the city looks like it is about to be overtaken by a tsunami!
