Hurricane Wilma Most Intense Atlantic Storm

According to Jeff's Weather Blog yesterday: "The pressure at the center of circulation has fallen to 882 mb. This is the MOST intense hurricane on record in the Atlantic Basin." The storm has reduced some in intensity today, but is still a fearesome Category 4 storm.

Over the last couple of days, I've been posting some image overlays from some of the best high-resolution satellite photos of the storm at the Google Earth Community. I am making several satellite photos for Google Earth available here . I suggest you turn on just one image overlay at a time as they are pretty big pictures and will take up some memory. The 500m resolution picture is particularly large and may take a while to load (depending on your bandwidth).
